so no personal posts? how about updates on your life? are you still working away?
Aw, poor anon. Gotta keep up with the personal updates. There’s more queued posts now so they’re harder to find lol.
Like I said, personal posts will still crop up every once and a while, but for a lot of my followers it’d be a total rehash.
Updates have been showing up more frequently, check my actual page and you can find them. Also most are tagged as “update” so you can probably find them with the search function.
And finally, no I am no longer working away. I am once again home and where I should be (read as: close to Amanda, a place with decent weather, and with family).

Yay Sea Kayaks!
And also wetsuit sunburn. Not so yay lol.
So yeah the training/assessment went quite well. Towing, trading boats, wet exits, and the like. But as a whole, it went nicely and I think I’ve proven myself for the job.
Training continues in store on monday. Here’s hoping I do just as well there :)
So After Camp
I had hoped all the “experience” they had paid me in would eventually translate into a real paying job. I beefed up my resumé with all the new things I had learned and was responsible for, and hit up all the outfitter stores in the area.
First day, I got one call for an interview. The next day nadda, and the next, and the next. So that one interview went fairly well, though there was still the humdrum over not being able to work full time in the fall, and I was told I’d get a call about hiring and such.
Just now, I got another call (which I totally wasn’t expecting I might add) and it’s the guy from the outfitters. He told me there’s a training session tomorrow morning at a local lake. It’s for their sea kayak rentals program.
Seriously?? The one little bit of camp program that I suck at, and you’re most likely going to have me demonstrate it?
Though it’s not a total loss. I’m only screwed if they’re using flat water kayaks, as they would have no keel. Yeah, I need a keel to maintain a straight line lol. Luckily sea kayaks typically have one, so I’m hoping I don’t totally screw up.
Here’s hoping I can have a decent job this summer!

Well anon, that one is a little complicated.
First, a lot of the things I’d make personal posts about aren’t interesting. Yeah, just like that my life is kinda boring. I mean, I’m currently job hunting, but for me that’s not interesting and I can’t see anyone wanting to read about that.
Second, other than the job hunting my life is going at like half-speed. By which I mean nothing horrible or fascinating has happened lately. Life is good, sure, but that brings me to my last reason.
Third, people I know irl follow me. And those who don’t know me irl, I often text message. In other words, personal posts here would be a major re-hash for a lot of my followers. Yes, I realize I don’t talk to ALL my followers but, until told otherwise, I don’t think a whole lot of them are really interested in my personal life.
Feel free to ask questions about specific things, anon, but be prepared to be unimpressed lol
